So, I do have a bit of news to mention to everyone.
First I'd like to say that we have finally gotten off our butts and made an online store! You should check it out. Buy a few things, give us some feedback, or maybe even give Ika some commissions!

In other news,
We all were hoping for an art table at OtaFest so we can sell our wares there. However, we were a tad late on sending in our vender form (we got it in and filled out in 5 minutes (ffs)) and we are placed on the "waiting list".
This means we do not technically have an art table just yet, although we're keeping our fingers crossed to get one. It's disappointing, but we're still trying.
And we also have the online store! So even if we don't get the table, we can still sell the stuff online.

There is also the Walk So Kids Can Talk event happening May 5th (sunday) at Eau Claire Market (north entrance)
Registration starts at 9:30 am and the walk begins at 11am, so if you're up for a brisk morning walk downtown, please make sure you:
1. Go on the website to register yourself. http://www.walksokidscantalk.ca/locations/calgary/
2. We have registered the team as Luna's Angels so click join a team and search that name.
3. You will have to put a sponser amount since this is an event to raise money for Kids Help Phone. (Although the amount can be whatever you wish.)
4. We have set the group amount to $100 and we would really like to make at least that much for the event. It does end up going to a good cause. (As far as I can tell the amount that you put under your name goes into the group pot, so don't worry too much about it.) Let's just try to get out there and do what we can.

Okay! Convention season is down the road! So we are grabbing artist tables while we still can! If you want to attend, here is some info.

The Calgary Brony Exhibition is happening:
Date: March 15-16, 2013.
Location: Marlborough Community Centre, in Calgary.
Prices: Weekend Pass - $20.00 Daily Pass- $15.00

Calgary Brony Exhibition
Hello guys. Ika here with some news for you.
First off I hope you remember that we're having a meetup this Saturday (the 12th) and you'll all be careful with the snow showing up.
Second, I wanted to remind all of you that there is a pony convention happening right here in town. That's right, on March 15th and 16th at the Marlborough Community centre.
That leaves us only two precious months to prepare for the artist alley or if you're interested in being a panelist.
Now, if you are interested in adding to our growing stock of items for the convention's artist table, please let me know what you plan on making preferably before you make it.
I sat around a lot at the table for Otafest and I added up the numbers at the end of the night, so I think I've got a pretty good understanding of what we can definitely sell at this convention. So far we have several things left over from Otafest in the way of prints, buttons, magnets and a handfull of other things. But I would love you guys to show me what you can add to our pile of stuff.

Their vendor tables are $75 and their artist alley tables are $50.

Merry Christmas and stuff to come!

Just wanted to let you all know, in case you forgot or didn't get the memo:
The next meet (Dec 29th) is cancelled so you can all be with family for the holidays.
Our next meetup, January 12 will be a game night!
That's right! The last one was a blast, so why not have another one?
I will be bringing such games like:
-Cards Against Humanity
-Munchkin Cthulhu
-Quarriors
-Nuclear War
-Kittens in a Blender
(The games on this list are subject to change without notice. I have plenty of other games and some will be swapped out for others depending on room and if I have something other than public transportation to get me to the meet up. I can also do requests to more or less of an extent.)
I will also bring over a few of my decks of Magic The Gathering so you Magic players should also bring your own.

Rio, one of the members in our meet up has created a charity group on facebook called "Luna's Angels".
Have some copy-paste of what he said about the group over skype.
"What we're volunteering for is the main charities around Calgary. Our goal is to help as much of our community as we can. Why? Because I firmly believe that we can show the people of Calgary that there are people who out there who are doing good and that maybe, just maybe we can all join together and give back to the community in the best way possible." -Rio
There is only a few members, including myself, and it would be great if any of you are willing to lend a hand to people in need and join Rio's group, Luna's Angels.

Nightmare Night Costume Contest
Hey everypony!
Just wanted to let you all know that there is a Nightmare Night costume contest on the 20th!
So here are the rules:
1. Dress up.
2. Keep it clean, we are in a public area after all.
3. Doesn't matter what you dress up as, just dress up!
4. Remember to dress for the weather. It's unfortunate, but it's true that we're heading into winter!
The folks who dress up will be voted on by everyone at the meetup, but you can get extra points by following the criteria:
-Dress up as a pony! (We are a pony fanclub after all!)
-"If you are gonna walk the walk, you gotta talk the talk." If you are cosplaying someone (such as a specific anime character or movie actor or whatever) I expect you to roleplay the part! There is nothing I dislike more than a person dressing up as a character and not even knowing who they are.
What you can win:
(I'm only giving out one prize unless someone wishes to bring something for a "runner up" prize.)
A BIG BAG OF SWAG!
It will have coloring books, stickers, 2nd wave McDonald's pony toys, sparkle magazines, home made bookmarks and fridge magnets and whatever else I find that I have laying about in my giveaway box...
(And Ika is offering a custom drawing for the winner, ohohoho.)
I guess thinking of it now... if there is anything inside the swag bag that the winner already has/ doesn't want. We can give that to the runner up(s). So everypony wins!

So I got word that they're doing that live pony show down at Cross Iron Mills like they did last year on October 6th-8th.
I'm putting my money down that it is the same thing as the one that happened at the Coke Stage at the Stampede and the other live show from last year.
