Just letting you know what's going on as of late.

We have the projector and screen in hoof now! Woohoo!

With Everfree just down the road I would like who are attending to have fun! Also if you do bring your cameras along, send us the pictures and I'll toss them up here or on the Flikr.

I've been getting a few really good ideas for events lately. (I love it and feel grateful that ponies are thinking up all these things for me.) I want to do them all at some point, but when, I do not know.
We also have things in the works already. Like our second annual summer BBQ, put together by the lovely Vanilla. In any case, here is a list. Let's try to figure out when we can do these, shall we?

- Summer BBQ
- Science Centre
- Movie night (I'd put my cash down for the new batman myself personally, although Ika wouldn't mind seeing Avengers again.)
- Paintball/Laser tag/Air soft

As I've asked before, please donate bits so we can do more events and things like this more often. The treasury box is starting to look quite barren and I'd like some nice small, but powerful speakers for us, (I've been borrowing other peoples lately. Even though I have my old computer speakers, they just do not have the right amount of oomph) and to throw bits at vanilla for the BBQ and this and that and those.. (etc...)

I REALLY WANT TO WATCH NEW EPISODES!!! T_T

I seem to have amassed quite the large collection of giveaway swag. Can we think up of a cool contest we can have? I'm sure a few of you guys out there want some pony stickers, coloring books and/or McDonalds toys and the like.

(PhoenixEdit: Holy Celestia, I hardly had to fix up anything! The end of the world is nigh! Darcy is using proper grammar and language etiquette! :V)

Game Day at the Meetup

So we just had our very first game day at the meetup. Personally, I think a lot of you had fun! But I want your opinion on it. Do we want another game day? What was about this game day we could make better? Have a request maybe?

On another more important note, the next meetup day has been canceled. (July 28th)
Someone at the Sentry Box is having a one day, private function that day in the meetup.
If you wish we can go and try to plan an event outside that night that doesn't involve the use of the room. But I will need your input on what we could do.

I finally bought a projector and screen! Huzzah!
It took me a while, but I was not aware I couldn't buy one of the items over Paypal. So I had to wait until I talked to Phoenix about the use of his credit card and just owing him later. So soon things will go back to "normal", but I hope you guys can come up with more event ideas in the future.

Okay, so I have been asked by a few people that I should post up on the blag with various info of my Steam/Battle.net account name, etc. etc. etc... and I think everyone else should also do the same so we can all get together and play games.

Okay, so it seems we will have our zoo trip on the 23rd. This is when people wish to attend.
The times that the zoo are open are 9AM-5PM so I think being there at 10AM is best.
I need your names three days in advance so I can get a discount. But I will need more then 15 people on the list to do so. So please please PLEASE let me know if you want to attend the zoo trip.

P.S. We will meet up at the zoo train station entrance.

So! The herd has spoken! We are going to the zoo!

Now I just have to find out a good date to do it when the weather is appropriate...

So with our funding I should logically take 33 people. That is... if I mathed out the moneybox right.
But I think there is a discount for large groups. But I don't know this for sure. But how this will work is that there will be a first come first serve list.
The people who helped with the table get priority. So if it fills up, and one of the table folk want to join. The last person on the list is (regrettably) not going to be able to get in free. But I think we will be okay with our 33 people.
You also have to give me a definitive yes or no answer if you are joining on the zoo trip. No "maybe"s allowed!
I will most likely buy the tickets beforehand. After I get a definitive body count.

I would like to ask everyone who comes to please bring a personal bag to prepare yourself for being outside all day so you may want to bring the following:
- sunscreen
- water
- umbrella
- food
- water
- hat
- and did I forget to mention water?
And whatever other things I can't think of at this moment in time that might be a good idea to bring with you in the summer heat.
